England

Went to visit my sister Becky in England the week before the Royal Wedding. Tried to keep a visual log while we were there drawing at least one--though usually two--pictures per day. The trip was amazing, I cannot wait until I am able to go back. I think I was meant to be English.

Cheers!

Sketchbooking

I have been working on trying to get back in the habit of sketching from observation wherever I go. I found it really fulfilling when in Italy but then got out of the habit. So here are a few selections from winter break:

(filled with High Schoolers and laptops)

Meghan and my hotel room in Montreal
when we went to see the Waterhouse Exhibit

And one image from the summer I never posted but quite like:

The fall semester

I am afraid that, with teaching practicum, my art output will be wanting for the semester. But come December, I will be finished with Art Education in its entirety and I will be able to dedicate my time fully to Illustration. Cheers!

That being said, two quick sketches from the Newport Folk Festival:

And my character to play around with (unofficially) for character creation: Charlotte Dana Donavan, aka "Charlie":
